Conference Program Selection Process



CAMT utilizes a Scientific Committee made up of 3-5 MTAs who will review all submissions.  

Each committee member will complete a blind review of each submission. 

The submissions are rated on innovation, relevance to music therapy research, clinical practice or business practice or social justice as well as the quality of the writing. 

Based on these ratings, a score is assigned to each proposal. 

The Conference Lead, in collaboration with the CAMT President and President-Elect, then build the conference program, starting with the top scoring papers, aiming for as many presentations as possible with a balance between research, clinical, business and social justice topics.

We aim for a wide range of presenters covering many geographic locations, cultural backgrounds, area of expertise and years of experience.
