CAMT Membership
The Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT) is a federally incorporated,
self-regulated non-profit professional association dedicated to fostering
the practice of music therapy in clinical, educational, and community settings
throughout Canada.
CAMT serves as a forum for its members providing advice, guidance, information, and exchanges of professional experience concerning music therapy.
CAMT represents the interests of music therapists in matters related to standards of professional practice, salary scales, and government legislation.

Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) |
$175 | Voting membership open to all individuals with Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) status. Individuals with MTA status are entitled to hold office. |
Music Therapist Accredited - Retired/Inactive (MTA R/I) |
$60 | Voting membership open to any individual with Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) status who is not actively involved in any music therapy practice within the membership year. These individuals are entitled to hold office. |
| Music Therapist Accredited – Graduate Student (MTA Graduate Student) | $75 | Voting membership open to any individual with Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) status who is in full time graduate studies. These individuals are entitled to hold office. |
| Music Therapy Intern (MTI) | $60 | A non-voting membership open to individuals who are working toward accreditation. This category may be renewed only once,or with a letter of permission from the English or French registrar. |
Associate Membership

$125 | A non-voting membership open to anyone not accredited. |
| Student | $60 | A non-voting, non-office holding membership open to any full-time or part-time music therapy student. Full-time students in other disciplines are also eligible for this membership. |
| Corporate | $330 | A voting membership open to corporations interested in advancing the objectives of the Association. One representative from the corporation will have the right to vote, and shall enjoy all other benefits of membership except holding office. |
$20 is added to all membership dues, for late renewal
Membership Year...top
- December 1 to November 30
- Dues received after August 1 will be credited to the next membership year.
- Memberships received prior to August will receive the previous mailings as available.
- Additional $20.00 for renewal not received by Nov. 30 does not apply to new, first-time memberships
- A $20.00 fee will be charged for NSF cheques.
- For addresses outside Canada, please add $15.00 foreign postage fee to the membership fees above.
- International members are asked to send fees in Canadian funds via International Money Order or a cheque on a Canadian Bank.
