The Canadian Journal of Music Therapy is peer-reviewed and aims to raise international standards of music therapy knowledge The journal provides a written medium for the dissemination of music therapy scholarship, especially that of Canadian music therapists followed by non-Canadian music therapists and members of allied disciplines.  Articles may be in French or English. The principal criteria for acceptance of material are originality and quality. For more information see the Call for Papers or the Submission Guidelines. The annual deadline is July 1st.

Call for Papers

The Canadian Journal of Music Therapy / Revue Canadienne de Musicothérapie is seeking submissions for upcoming issues. We’re looking for the entire creative spectrum of the use of music in therapeutic capacities including ideas such as:

  • case studies along standard presentation lines or cast into lyrical narratives

  • qualitative approaches
  • emerging modes of inquiry
  • autobiography

  • performance based articles

Our articles can also be found online (from 2004 to present) through ProQuest indices: Nursing & Allied Health Source and their International Index to Music Periodicals. From 2010 EBSCO has carried the Journal through its Academic Search Complete database.
